Meeting of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Emomali Rahmon with the President of South Africa Republic Mr. Jacob Zuma

In Xiamen city of People’s Republic of China in frame of Dialogue of Developing Countries and members of BRICS, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the President of South Africa Republic Mr. Jacob Zuma.

We are for the strengthening of friendly and useful relationships with South Africa Republic, highly respected country in the Africa continent and the international arena, emphasized in the beginning of the meeting the Leader of the country dear Emomali Rahmon, and added that welcomes the presence of economical and investment prospects in Tajikistan in different directions of national economy sector.

Today’s Dialogue of Developing Countries and members of BRICS was considered as a great opportunity for encountering the new ways and approaches of strengthening the partnership in the region and the world in general.

The motivation of Tajikistan was underlined for implementation of useful cooperation with South Africa Republic in the economy and business, agriculture, industry, culture and humanitarian spheres.

On this background, it was proposed for extension of bilateral intergovernmental cooperation in the mentioned sectors, to organize a visit of representatives of economy and investment spheres and production companies to Tajikistan at first suitable occasion.

Both sides had exchanged their views on the issue of fighting international terrorism and extremism and other new threats and challenges of contemporary world, based on bilateral and in frame of respected international associations and organizations, such as United Nations.
