High Level Meeting in South Africa defined the agriculture domain as an important tool in enriching economies of the African countries and eliminating unemployment

May 25, 2018, Sandton, South Africa – The Crown Prince of Swaziland, His Excellency Mr. Mswati III, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kingdom of Lesotho, Honorable Mr. Monyane Moleleki, representatives of Ministries of the Kingdom of Lesotho and Central Asia Group South Africa (CAG SA) represented by Mr. Victor Degouveia, discussed possible perspectives in the priority sector of both Kingdom of Lesotho and Swaziland, the agriculture domain as a promising dimension for the economical growths and employment opportunities.  All parties emphasized the importance of the eliminating of unemployment and the urgency for new opportunities and innovative ideas, which could give jobs and living standards in the young independent countries such as Kingdom of Lesotho and Swaziland. In this regard, the agricultural projects found as of long-term and auspicious development aspects of the economical enrichment instruments. Honorable Mr. Monyane Moleleki confirmed CAG’s high profile, expertize and network in the agricultural domain, which were demonstrated in previous years in African and Asian countries, where the strategic and particular knowledge was used in an adopted practical way requiring precise and specific scientific and managerial approach. According to overall conclusions of this fruitful meeting, the engagement of CAG in South Africa will further include the new development projects in the field of agriculture concerning Lesotho Kingdom and Swaziland with focus to employment and social wellbeing. Main source of inspiration and confidence of investors and entrepreneurs, who always help governments in progressive developments and economic growth, is the readiness and openness of the governors of those countries, as today we see from the side of our high-level ranked colleagues of the meeting. We are sure, in 10 years the agriculture domain will show one of the best results in Lesotho and Swaziland, if state of arts will be kept at minimum as today’s, mentioned by Mr. Victor Degouveia after the meeting. The next steps will bring new number of meetings, comprehensive Resource Reviews and elaboration of specific working- and business plans, after CAG conducts detailed consultations with agriculture scientists and experts.
