High level bilateral meetings of new Ambassador of South Africa to Tajikistan with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan

Dushanbe, 21st of November, 2017 – started with the meeting of the South Africa delegation with with Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, Minister of Economy of Tajikistan. H.E. Ms. Keitumetsi Seipelo Thandeka Matthews and Mr. Theodorus Louis Malherbe, Counsellor mentioned about similarities of Tajikistan and South Africa, especially in progressing the economy, natural bases such as mountains and natural resources, agriculture development, which give quite opportunity for both Tajikistan and South Africa to find the anchor points for bilateral cooperation. It is the right moment for technological modernization in the strategic sectors and launch of new productions and diversification of products in the sectors like light industry, livestock and agriculture, pharmacy, energy and water, and of course trade and business. Mr. Sharif Said, Director of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan expressed his high interest trade and business cooperation of Tajikistan and South Africa and presented ‘Tajik Guide on Trade’ as useful source of information materials on Tajikistan and its trade system. On her side, H.E. Ms. Keitumetsi Seipelo Thandeka Matthews congratulated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan with the First Golden Prize won in “EXPO-2017” in Astana, and renewed her assurance in readiness and support to future business initiatives among commercial enterprises and individual projects of both countries.
